My research interest are primarily on Aeolian processes on Earth and Mars, particularly concerning high resolution 3-D modelling of airflow over dune field surfaces. This involves Computational Fluid Dynamics of airflow through complex terrain and the interaction between surface topography and atmospheric boundary layer dynamics. Terrestrial research focuses on sandy beach and dune dynamics. Research on coastal and marine processes examines sediment sources and bedform evolution which includes nearshore morphodynamics with shallow water wave modelling and seabed interactions. I’m currently a Professor at the Ulster University in Northem Ireland, UK, and a member collaborator of the chartered research group “Coastal Environments (RNM911).
